F2 Trip to KizCiti

          The children explored some of the areas KizCiti had to offer during the trip on Tuesday. There included the fire station, airplane, bakery, ice cream parlous, beauty salon and hospital.  

Mark Making

Big playground

Nini painted on the floor using water and medium sized brush. She said "Look I can make big circle and small circles".

Nini initially asked help to use the climbing equipment. She used both her arms and legs to move across the first level and concentrated on her steps as well. Nini got tired and said "I want to sit. I'm tired now. My hands ouchy."

Mark Making

Main playground

F2 went out to the main playground.  NiNi enjoyed mark making with the paintbrush and water. She used the paintbrush to draw a big shape. "Circle," she said "a big circle!"

Drawing with chalk and reading book

 NiNi enjoyed in drawing with big chalks by moving fire truck. She told Hanna " We are drawing a road for fire truck."Then, she went to the reading area for reading. She pretended to be a teacher and she read a book to her friends.  NiNi pointed out the pictures in the book and made up the story herself.

Maths Area

Ni Ni came to  maths table and she said, "I want to make it".  She stuck shapes onto the card to make a collage.  When the teacher asked Ni Ni about her collage, she said " make a house for daddy and mummy". She  also recognised some shapes during the activity including a  diamond, square, rectangle, triangle, circle and semicircle. 

Tet Fair

IWB

Nini told me, "We have to wait...wait for sand to go down."

"I'm still waiting, waiting for Ana."

Nino understands that she needs to wait for her turn to play on the IWB and is becoming more patient when waiting.  She independently got the number badge and put it on. Nini recognised numbers 1-5 on the badges.

Gym

Nino used the obstacle course in the gym with confidence, moving in different ways including jumping, running and crawling.

Teddy Bears Picnic

Ni Ni enjoyed making an army of elephants. She then named the colours one by one.

Small world area

" I'm the astronaut. I'm busy working." Ni Ni pretended typing at computer in the space station.

Splash pool

     

    Nini was playing in the splash pool and collected one of the floats.  She shouted to the teacher “Hey, look at me!” and began to hold the float out and kick her legs.  Nini then lay on the step with some of her friends  and they kicked their legs together confidently.

Reading area

Ni Ni was able to call the animals' name and count exactly the amount of animals in the book.

Fundino Playground

Today NiNi enjoyed playing with the building blocks.  She was building a tower.  When she saw I had come over, she initiated a conversation:

"Too tall!" (Pointing at the tower)

She took the blocks up the steps on the climbing frame.  She saw that another child throwing some blocks from the climbing frame and that one had nearly fallen on me.  She spoke to the other child:

"I not hitting your head."
"You bump here on teacher's head."
"Say sorry teacher."
